Business Objects are buying Cartesis more detail here

The news sites don’t seem to have picked up on it much as yet.

No idea on the impact, maybe good news for people with Magnitude skills?

Anyone got any thoughts?

I’ve worked with it where it was used as a consolidation and reporting system.
It provides some custom UDFs so you can pull data into excel, rather than the Essbase approach of setting cell values.
