Effluent Hotmail UI

Another change/UI Fail for MS?

Interestingly this one had Madame Smurf ranting and raving, but I didn’t think it was that bad. I wouldn’t say I’m a Hotmail power user though.

I would estimate her reaction to be about 70% her Word 2007 rage. Which she still won’t use.

What do you think?

Fear of change? or genuine fail?

Sadly I think this whole new UI virus to which MS  (and others) have succumbed is just a thin veil of Fail over a core of missing business model. And MS aren’t the only one. Lots of orgs seem to be spending a ton of cash on cloudy BS with no clue how to recover their ‘investment’.

Heres an idea: get the people who find the service valuable to pay to use it. A bit old skool I know, a bit 90’s I know, but ad funding can only go so far.

Whatever happened to that ‘The End of Free’ web site from the Web 1.0 bubble burst?

Oh – here we go.

have a good weekend

Perhaps Jon would like to critique that half-arsed reg chart?

Simon – “Hotmail power user” LOL

Rob – It’s not a pie chart, so it’s not worth my time :-)
