Soz for lack of posts

Sorry its been so quiet here
There are a couple of prerequisites for my blog postings. mainly time and internet access. time has been very short recently (more on that later)(nowt interesting) and internet access has been intermittent (at best). Inspiration and content is in no shortage, and I think time is becoming available, internet is due in the next week or two so should be back up and running early Sept.

will post a proper update soon

hope you all had a good break this summer, we did.
I was wondering about creating a new posting category ‘non posting excuses’. what do you think?

Can you provide a quick summary as to what, exactly, has changed from the Excel VBA environment as it exists in Excel 2007 versus the Excel VBA environment as it exists in Excel 2010? I had heard rumors about Microsoft introducing Microsoft Visual Studio (VSTO) into Excel 2010. Are these rumors true?

There are almost no differences, only just enough to handle 64bit operation.

    Hi Bruce
As Gordon says there is no sign of VSTO in 2010. I think VSTA is still in onenote or the other one that no one uses, whose name I can never remember)(infopath)(had to google it).
We are all expecting some sort of closer .net/office integration within 1 or two releases, but no one knows, or at least no one is saying, when.
VSTO in Visual Studio 2010 is much better integrated than previous versions, and C# in .net 4.0 is more office friendly too.

Tangent: how’s VS support for languages other than C#, e.g., IronPython or IronRuby?
